What industry, company, etc could you see your self working in that is not a marketing, advertising, or digital agency?

I believe that there are a lot of opportunities for creatives outside of a traditional marketing or advertising agency. Although I very much envision myself being in the creative sector of an advertising agency, I feel as if my #1 passion has always been videography. It has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember and over the years I feel as if I have grown more and more passionate about it becoming a career of mine. Outside of having a job at a traditional marketing/advertising agency, I see myself creating my own LLC for my videography and perhaps opening up my own studio. I envision myself taking on my own clients and creating content for a variety of brands. 

I have learned so many skills in my studies of public relations and advertising that will hep me in my endeavors such as the importance of building my own personal brand as well as how videography in advertising is becoming more and more necessary. I have learned a great deal about the importance of getting to know your target audience, which is really important in video advertising. Identifying a target market helps your company develop effective marketing communication strategies. A target market is a set of individuals sharing similar needs or characteristics that your company hopes to serve (link). With that being said, I believe that I have the ability to assess what a brand/or person would like to portray through a video and be able to communicate the appropriate video for their target audience.

 You don’t have to dig deep to understand why video advertising is becoming the dominant force in the digital marketing universe. Attention spans are dwindling to a point where people are spurning large volumes of text online, and consumers stare at small portable screens directly in front of their faces for hours throughout an average day (link). I believe that my ability to connect with people through my videos and visual content will be what forms the basis of the relationship between my brand and them.
